Delete your account and data

To request deletion, email us from the Google address you signed in with — sending from that address is how we confirm the account is yours:
[email protected]Subject: Delete my Sudoku account. We confirm and complete deletion within 30 days.
Who this is for
Sudoku plays anonymously and needs no account. You only have server-side data if you signed in with Google (to sync progress and add friends) or appeared on the leaderboard. This page explains how to have that data deleted.
Delete it in the app (fastest)
Open the app and go to Settings → Account → Delete account & data, then confirm. Because you’re signed in, this proves the account is yours and removes everything immediately — no email required.
Or request deletion by email
- Email [email protected] with the subject “Delete my Sudoku account.”
- Send it from the Google email address you signed in with. This both locates your account and proves it’s yours — a request from a different address can’t be honored, so no one can delete an account that isn’t theirs.
- We verify the request and delete your account and associated data within 30 days, and reply to confirm.
What gets deleted
- Your Google account link and email address.
- Your synced game progress (XP, stars, streak, stats, best times).
- Your leaderboard entries, points, and any nickname.
- Your friends list and friend code.
After deletion, none of this data remains linked to you. Aggregated or time-bound leaderboard records that are not tied to your identity may persist briefly and then expire in the normal course.
Delete data yourself (no email needed)
- On-device data (settings, saved game, stats, streak, the anonymous ID): clear this site’s data in your browser, or uninstall the app.
- Stop syncing: sign out in Settings → Account at any time.
- Advertising ID: reset or delete it in your device’s settings.
